Our Facilities and Care Philosophy

Recognized by the U.S. Olympic Committee as a National Network Member, our fully equipped physical therapy center is staffed with knowledgable and supportive physical therapists who guide and assess patient rehabilitation to keep patients injury-free and active.  Using “hands-on” physical therapy techniques, including soft tissue and joint mobilizations, therapeutic exercises, custom splinting and modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation and iontophoresis, we are able to greatly reduce patient discomfort and recovery time.

Our Big Difference

Our physical therapy team is led by Dr. David Higgins who has been practicing orthopedic sports medicine and orthopedic surgery in Maryland since 1991.  Dr. Higgins has been a physician for numerous teams over the last 25+ years, including Good Counsel High School, American University, USA Basketball, Team USA at the World University Games, and US Olympic Teams.  No other Physical Therapy team in the area can call on such a high level of expertise and experience to guide and assess patient rehabilitation.

We work very closely with Dr. Higgins to ensure that the patient’s progress is on schedule and they are reaching their full potential.

We use “hands-on” physical therapy techniques, including soft tissue and joint mobilizations, therapeutic exercises, and custom splinting.  Modalities employed include ultrasound, electrical stimulation and iontophoresis.  Our objective is to greatly reduce patient discomfort and recovery time.

Dr. Higgins has spent over 25 years getting athletes healthy and back doing what they love to do. As physical therapists, we do our part too. He keeps us on track, so we can help our patients succeed.
